Program Description: Volunteers will serve the physical and spiritual needs of the community in coordination with a local church. There are both medical and non-medical opportunities to serve at the clinic. Community Medical Outreach provides dental, vision, including eyeglass production, and medical care through weekend pop-up clinics throughout the United States. Services are free of charge and staffed by volunteers. Volunteers will receive just-in-time training and will be led by experienced team leads.
Clinic Location: Madison Early College High School 5734 US-25 #70, Marshall, NC 28753
Length of Stay: Minimum of two full days and maximum of three full days.
Schedule: The clinic will take place on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22. A typical clinic starts at 5:00 a.m. each day and ends between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Volunteers who assist with clinic set up and tear down will also serve on that Friday afternoon and Monday morning.
Additional Information: We DO NOT accept walk-in volunteers. All volunteers must go through our application process and be approved prior to serving. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to the clinic site. Meals are provided on-site. Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the majority of the work day. All other clinic details will be provided once your application is confirmed.
